Meant to post this comment on Friday, but apparently blogspot had everyone locked out all day (no comments on anyone's blog sites).
I'd really be interested in seeing those new books when they come out, that claim the emerging movement is heretical. Actually, this is a big test to see if the movement is mature enough to takes some criticism; and even if it is not offered constructively, to see if they will honestly consider whether those points have Scriptural validity. After all, it is God they must seek to please, even if they must swallow some pride to do so (not easy to hear though, is it?)
Once an honest self-evaluation follows, I wonder if it would be possible to respond to the authors and perhaps initiate a dialogue with them? That's what should be done, but people are usually too defensive to try. But I think they should. I would like to see some grass roots support for doing it.
